Thunderbolt kills one farmer, injured 2 in Nadia

Samir Rudra, Sting Newz Correspondent, Nadia: Farmer Sahidul Seikh (40) was killed on spot and two other farmers were injured when a thunderbolt lashed on them. It happened at Pipregachhi under Chapra police station in Nadia on Tuesday morning, police said. The victim was a resident of Chapra Gowaldanga.

According to local sources, the victim and injured persons were involved in jute cutting in agricultural field. The thunderbolt bolt lashed on them during the agricultural works.

The locals and other farmers in field took them to Chapra Rural Hospital. Doctor declared Sahidul brought dead.

Rest duo were referred to Shaktinagar District Hospital.
