In Scorching Heat, Dhubulia Cosmos Club Steps Up with Blood Donation Drive, Honours Meritorious Students, and Distributes Tarpaulins

Sting Newz, Nadia: Amid an acute blood shortage in several government hospitals across West Bengal due to the sweltering heat, Dhubulia Batatala Cosmos Club of Nadia took a noble initiative by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp. Held on Sunday morning, the camp saw 70 individuals, including club members and enthusiastic local residents, voluntarily donate blood to help meet the growing demand.

In addition to the blood donation camp, the club also organized a felicitation ceremony for eight meritorious students from Krishnagar Block-II who secured the highest marks in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. The students were felicitated with floral garlands, uttariyas (traditional scarves), sweet packets, and Oxford dictionaries as a token of appreciation. State Minister Ujjwal Biswas, along with other distinguished guests, attended the program and congratulated the students. Dhubulia OC Sourav Kumar Chattopadhyay attended the programme.

Praising the efforts of the club, Minister Ujjwal Biswas said, “The initiative taken by Dhubulia Cosmos Club is highly commendable. The club consistently stands beside the people and works for the welfare of society.”

He also assured full support for the club in all future endeavors.

Club member Saheb Sheikh said, “We organized this felicitation ceremony to inspire students in their academic journey. This is our humble way of honoring their hard work and dedication.”

On the topic of blood donation, Nadia Zilla Parishad member Nazrul Biswas stated, “Blood donation is a noble act. A single bag of blood can save the life of a critically ill patient. The fact that Cosmos Club came forward during this intense heat to address the blood shortage is truly praiseworthy.”

As part of their extended social service, the club also distributed tarpaulins to economically underprivileged families in the area. The local community has expressed deep appreciation for the club’s multifaceted humanitarian initiatives.
