Sting Newz Service: Ahead of 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has further solidified its base in Krishnanagar 2 block of Nadia. On Saturday evening, nearly 200 workers and supporters from BJP, CPI(ML), and other parties joined TMC in the Nawpara-2 Panchayat.

This success is attributed to the leadership of TMC’s anchal president Jahir Mondal. Minister Ujjal Biswas handed over TMC flags to the new members at the event. The program was attended by several prominent leaders, including Nadia Zilla Parishad Savadhipati Tarannum Sultana Mir, Krishnanagar-2 Block TMC President Sanjay Mukherjee, Krishnanagar-2 Panchayat Samiti Savapati Suchitra Biswas, and Nawpara-2 anchal President Jahir Mondal.

Among those who joined were Arun Hazra, BJP president of Booth 37, former CPI(ML) member Sentu Hazra, CPI(ML) worker Shobha Hazra, and many others. People from villages like Sonatala, Rupdaha, Pathradaha, Chuakhali, Kalinagar, and Charmohatpur joined TMC, motivated by Mamata Banerjee’s developmental initiatives.

Speaking to Sting Newz, Jahir Mondal said, “Nearly 200 workers and supporters from BJP, CPI(ML), and other parties joined TMC today. People are joining us to be part of Mamata Banerjee’s vision for development.”

According to political observers, Jahir Mondal’s effective leadership is bringing people back to TMC. Many who were disillusioned during the last Panchayat elections are now returning. Analysts also suggest that Minister Ujjal Biswas has immense confidence in Jahir Mondal due to his successful handling of challenges in Nawpara-2 during the last Panchayat elections.

Jahir Mondal’s leadership has garnered widespread praise within the block TMC. This wave of new supporters is expected to further strengthen TMC’s position in Krishnagar-2 block.
