Titli Sahitya Samman Conferred on Eminent Children’s Author Dr. Parthajit Gangopadhyay

Sting Newz: Renowned children’s litterateur and researcher Dr. Parthajit Gangopadhyay was honoured with the Titli Sahitya Samman at a ceremony organised at Meghchhaya Bhavan, the office of Titli magazine in Dhubulia. The h onour was formally presented to him by the magazine’s publisher Bandana Ghosh

, while editor Shyamaprasad Ghosh felicitated him with an uttariya. Dr. Gangopadhyay also received a citation and a box of sweets as part of the felicitation.

According to sources, Dr. Gangopadhyay is a member of the Executive Body of the West Bengal Government’s Shishu Kishore Academy. A distinguished, celebrated and widely respected figure in contemporary Bengali literature, he is known for his extensive contribution to children’s literature and literary research. He obtained his PhD through research on Abanindranath Tagore and completed his D.Lit on the evolution of Bengali rhymes. With more than 200 published books, his literary output is considered monumental.

On the same day, the 46th issue of the 33rd year of Titli Sahitya Patrika was formally released. Dr. Gangopadhyay, along with several eminent personalities present at the event, inaugurated the new issue.

The Tapan Bhattacharya Memorial Award for this year was conferred on noted lyricist Govinda Pramanik. The award was handed to him by Dr. Parthajit Gangopadhyay, who also felicitated him with an uttariya, a citation, and a packet of sweets.

The programme featured songs, recitations, musical narratives, and speeches. The entire event was anchored by noted writer Niladri Shekhar Sarkar, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow throughout the ceremony.
