STING NEWZ: In an age when birthdays are often marked by luxury, five-star events, and social media spectacle, Sanjay Singh chose a completely different path, setting a remarkable example. At the very start of the New Year, the gesture of compassion he displayed sends a strong and meaningful message to society.
Sanjay Singh, the worthy son of renowned social worker and widely respected “friend of the poor” Sher Bahadur Singh, celebrated his birthday by hosting a special community lunch for brick kiln workers.
There was no stage, no decorative lighting, and no display of extravagance. Instead, he sat side by side with those who labour daily under the harsh sun to mould bricks, making his birthday memorable by sharing a meal with them.
The special lunch was organised on Thursday afternoon at Singh Brick Kiln, located in Bholadanga village under Nakashipara Police Station in Nadia district. Workers were served a wholesome spread that included rice, dal, meat, chutney, papad, and sweets. Yet beyond the food, it was the dignity and respect conveyed through Sanjay Singh’s warm presence that left a lasting impact.
Sanjay Singh cut his birthday cake among the workers themselves. In that moment, he was not merely a businessman, but one among them. As several workers shared, “Sir stayed with us and spent time with us—this itself is a great blessing in our lives.”
