Sting Newz, Krishnanagar/Nadia: A new Street Animal Treatment & Care Shelter is set to be inaugurated in Ichapur under Dogachi GP, Krishnanagar on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The initiative has been taken by Krishnanagar Furbaby Care, an organisation dedicated to the welfare of injured and abandoned street animals.
According to the organisers, the shelter will provide timely medical treatment, care and protection to helpless animals roaming the streets. They believe the new facility will play an important role in building a safer and more compassionate environment for animals in the region.
The inauguration ceremony will begin at 11 AM, and various volunteers, doctors, supporters, and well-wishers are expected to attend.
Founders Priyanka Biswas, Hriday Karmakar (Head of Operations), and Arka Biswas (Senior Management) expressed their gratitude to supporters for helping them turn this project into reality. They also appealed for continued encouragement to ensure the wellbeing of street animals.
Krishnanagar Furbaby Care stated that they are eagerly awaiting the presence and blessings of the community at the event, which marks a hopeful new beginning for animal care in Krishnanagar.
