Sting Newz: Renowned children’s litterateur and researcher Dr. Parthajit Gangopadhyay was honoured with the Titli Sahitya Samman at a ceremony organised at Meghchhaya Bhavan, the office of Titli magazine in Dhubulia. The honour was formally presented to him by the magazine’s publisher Bandana Ghosh, while editor Shyamaprasad Ghosh felicitated him with an uttariya. Dr. Gangopadhyay also received a citation and a box of sweets as part of the felicitation.
According to sources, Dr. Gangopadhyay is a member of the Executive Body of the West Bengal Government’s Shishu Kishore Academy. A distinguished, celebrated and widely respected figure in contemporary Bengali literature, he is known for his extensive contribution to children’s literature and literary research. He obtained his PhD through research on Abanindranath Tagore and completed his D.Lit on the evolution of Bengali rhymes
