Sting Newz: A brief spell of chaos unfolded at the Nabadwip Bus Stand today following a scuffle between members of the Bus Union, backed by INTTUC, and supporters of the BJP over the parking of vehicles within the bus stand premises.

According to sources, Bus Union workers objected to the parking of BJP vehicles inside the stand and near its entry point, claiming that such practices obstruct the movement of route buses and disrupt the smooth flow of traffic. The altercation soon escalated into a physical confrontation, during which a vehicle belonging to BJP Nadia North District President Arjun Biswas was reportedly vandalized, leaving one person injured.

Upon receiving information, police personnel promptly reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

In a written press brief, Addl. SP (Rural), KPD, Uttam Ghosh

confirmed the incident and stated that the situation was swiftly contained. He further mentioned that a written complaint has been lodged by the President of the Bus Union, naming several individuals allegedly involved in the scuffle. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Mr. Ghosh also clarified that none of the security or convoy vehicles belonging to BJP MP Sukanta Majumder were damaged during the incident.

Subsequently, a counter-complaint has been received by the Nabadwip Police from the BJP party in connection with the same incident, alleging involvement of certain persons. Accordingly, separate cases have been registered on the basis of both complaints. Investigation into both the cases is presently in progress.
